Perhaps one crude way to measure political sentiment on SI - here are the bookmarks for 35 of the most active political threads. The median is about 80 bookmarks.

I don't know much about the makeup of the top four threads though I suspect they lean mostly right. The less right threads and the blatantly left threads fill much of the rest of the top half.

My guess is that SI has more active rightwing posters than left by a 2-1 margin or thereabouts.
