Doug,

for Henri's honesty's sake,

Now you are just getting tiresome.

You are safely on record predicting INTC will surpass AMD in the following categories when Conroe/Woodcrest ships:

Absolute Performance
Performance/Watt
Performance/$ (1)
Performance/Watt-$
(as meassured in real world usage, of course)
INTC vs AMD Stock Price growth over the next 6-9 months.

All based on a limited set of Benchmarks of INTC's soon to be released chips compared to what AMD shipped at the start of the year, and very limited info from AMD about what is coming next.

You may be right. I hope you are wrong, buy you may be right.
Now would you please stop the needless parsing of words?

Edit: (1) Actually, I can't see INTC ahead in both Absolute Performance and Performance/$. If AMD is behind in Absolute Performance, then they'll have to be ahead in Performance/$ by lowering price, just like old days. Profitablilty will suffer horribly, of course, and it is nothing to welcome.

Economically speaking, it is not possible for INTC to be ahead in all 5 categories. Market forces require a rebalancing. 4 out of 5 is possible, but that would still be horrible for AMD.
