The controversial allegation in the Da Vinci Code is that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene

Odd coincidence that almost all the women around Jesus were named Mary.

Christ committed the sin of fornication and was married to a sinner is, apparently, insult upon insult

The insinuation that Jesus was a mortal man, made in several ways in the book. is a bit more than an insult, and shouldn't be so easily shrugged of by a Christian.

there's no reason to think that the "woman taken in adultery" is the same person as Mary Magdalene

BTW it was Pope Gregory that started that story.

Lindy posted about it, that invites comment. He'll let it be know when he's had enough.
