Kerry would make the best president. He is the most qualified, along with Gore. Whether or not someone else is a better candidate is another matter. Since we don't know who else is running, besides Warner probably, we can't judge whether Kerry is the best candidate, and we have never seen Warner campaigning nationally. So who is a better candidate? Hillary? Gore? Gore probably won't run but I remember in 2000 being quite disappointed by his performance. He even lost 1-2 debates with Bush. Kerry won all of his. Meanwhile, Kerry will have learned his lessons, and will not be plagued by any of the smearvet BS next time around. Nor will post 9-11 fears be a factor, or for that matter any notion of being "weak on defense", since Bush turned out to be the poorest commander in chief imaginable. All that trash was just a single use smear weapon. The media won't buy it for a single minute next time around. So how could they run against Kerry? I believe either Kerry or Warner will be president in 2008, but a lot could change between now and then.
