Kerry may have won the election. I've listed the reasons before. Bush-Rove did a lot of cheating. Especially in Ohio, the only state that counted in the end. vanityfair.com

This was written by a conservative and does not include any Diebold voting machine fixing, which might also have happened.
So you can blame Kerry for not cheating like Bush did, but cheating and lying are two things Kerry will never do.

If Kerry didn't win, it was much closer that the official tally, a tie basically. That against a sitting presdient in a time of war. And no one has ever beaten a presdient at a time of war. Evgen the unpopular Nixon won by 20% in 1972.

Also, last November was right before all the truth and scandals came out about Bush-Cheney-Delay etc. The Bushies all sat on their Pandora's box and kep everything secret until after the election. Then we had the mainstream media being suckered and falling for a smear campaign which was 100% dishonest, but against which there was no strategy that could have worked.

Is Kerry perfect? No. He could have a southern accent, be more of a workingclass hero and have some mythic tale about single-handedly defeating Al Qaida. We would all like to see some god-like charismatic superman lead us to a landslide victory in 2008, but there is no one like that on the horizon. In fact it is a fantasy, and no one is ever happy with the candidates they have to choose from in presidential elections.

Perhaps 10 years from now Barak Obama could be someone like that, but he is not ready yet, nor is the country. No, the best we have now is Kerry, then Warner and a few others. And they're all better than McCain or anyone on the rightwing. Much-much better. SO support them. From now on, we stand UNITED, not bickering about minutia.
