Ian, sounds like they will be producing chips in 1998 with this new technology....unless they developed their own tool they had to work with someone....I don't think that IBM is in the tool making business. I am asuming this is a PVD process....IBM does not have a TRKN PVD system as far a I know so the chances are low that TRKN is involved....however, in the Damasence article that I mentioned several days ago it said that IBM/Siemans were had demonstrated dual damasence using TRKN PVD tools. Question is, can TRKN forcefill do with copper what it does with AL?? and is anyone trying it? dave
