How many aren't STREAM-like or SSE heavy? Seen any typical server-like benchmarks? Seen any games with AI or anything unscripted? Or encoding/decoding type of benchmarks? Something that has to hit memory a lot? You, know, real world type of stuff?

Oh, I see. Only benchmarks that specifically suited for Athlon 64's architecture count. AMD has thrived on the benchmarks with Athlon 64 and now they need to change their story to "But the benchmarks aren't telling the REAL story about performance."

Yep, we all know that even though the benchmarks don't necessarily show it Intel's P4 is superior to Athlon 64 for "real world" use. Hyperthreading makes P4 systems less laggy and more responsive by preventing background programs from interfering with the primary task.

You'd have a point if such was any different from AMD's past behavior or AMD was trying to Osbourne the market. But neither of those is true.

It was sarcastic. Intel isn't releasing all of the benchmarks for the same reason AMD isn't releasing benchmarks...in order to avoid killing all hype months before the product actually launches.
