Laz and KLP and Thread, my bets would be on DMV records, property owner records, and perhaps voter records as primary sources for personal info--something I have been acutely aware of for many decades. I wouldn't put the sale of info past the credit bureaus either.

Several years ago, Lotus had plans to put out a CD of demographic-only information but decided against it, stating it thought even such limited info would be too intrusive into the lives of private citizens.

Obviously, our government thinks otherwise, and I wonder how much revenue it earns from these sales. - Holly
