With the pilots killed or wounded, and one or two of the murdering barbarians in the pilots seats and behind locked doors, it probably was a given that the plane was doomed... More than one person on the plane most probably knew where they were on the flight as far as the closest city...but think about it... If YOU knew the plane was headed for the Capital or the White House, possibly decapitating our entire government, would you have waited until the terrorists came out and said.... "Oh dear, we're on a flight path as outlined above....too bad, you can't do anything about it"...and just sat in your seat until you hit.... Maybe. and Maybe Not...! I'd like to believe that most of us would have at least tried to prevent the terrorists from accomplishing their goal.
