Thanx, Tim, I'll keep your kind offer in mind. For now, it is simpler to get a friend to tape something, while I watch something else, and then we exchange tapes. <vbg> Holly the Simple p.s. BTW, I have often been the person who went around and programmed the neighborhood VCRs, when asked, which task seems beyond so many mortals. From the Hard to Believe or Strange but True file: I once had an engineer friend who put duct tape over the flashing bright-green 12:00 on his VCR and microwave.
