You know, Buffet was TOTALLY off on the bet against technology from about 1995 through early 2000. He was technically correct, but so early that his performance stunk, and he missed making his stock go up perhaps a gillion times. While true, he made the lost portion up after 2000 while the tech bulls who refused to bail as it began to crumble lost a lot, he basically marked time for many years because he was SOOOOOOO early on his correct read that much of technology was a bubble. Point being, I assume you do not buy the belief that Greenspan and much of the gov't for the past many years have printed so much paper currency and delayed the inevitable punishment by not wanting to be the one in charge for any downturn that we will see a gold price and a Dow price come a lot closer together in price than most believe? If so, then Buffet could be WAY early again and suffer a few years like mid-late 1990s so he sets himself up for having to over over perform say from 2010-2013 to MAKE UP for this mistake? Just a thought.

I remain,

SOROS
