The National Guard are all in Iraq, in case you forget, and they're so exhausted, stressed and freaked out they need years to recover. Bush has totally abused the National Guard. They weren't around for Katrina and they won't be around to defend the border. Maybe a few thousand at the most who won't do much good anyway.

If Bush were serious about border security he would have done something for the past 13 years, as Texas governor or president. But he hasn't. He never has. His cronies like quasi slave labor. He supports that. Even his "guest worker program" is really just a racist slave program. And he doesn't give a damn about the American workingclass. Never has. Just uses Rove to trick them into supporting him by lying to them and using BS wedge issues.

Bush has always supported illegal immigration and is only making his BS speech tomorrow because he's hoping to "shore up the base" (ie the racists who have targeted Latinos this season, after gays the last time), when no one in their right mind still supports him. Bush is headed for the trash heap of history and all his top cronies are headed for prison. He would be too except we're not allowed to put presidents in prison.
