Show me one politician who's ever succesfully fought back against a smear campaign? Or a smear campaign which has ever been so huge, so well-funded, so supported by major names in the press (despite being total BS.) Neve before. Also, please advise us how to fight back against such a smear campaign. Other than his once speech and sending the real SWiftVets who fought with him out to defend him, what could Kerry have done?
