I played soccer some in PE in grade school and Jr. high, but I never liked it, for the "no hands" part. It just seemed really stupid. Great exercise though.

I love American football, the athleticism combined with the strategic, war-like quality of it, but I think the commercialization of Pro football has ruined it. The players are basically all just free-agent mercenaries, so it's hard to root for a specific team - you KNOW the players themselves really don't have any team loyalty. If you've ever attended a game, you realize all these long delays between plays are to accomodate commercials on TV. Money and greed have caused a great sport to suck.

I catch local high school games now and again. Those players really care, and play their hearts out, for free!
