MM, the illegals are not simply farm workers any longer. They're a large part of the following industries as well:
construction, food processing, restaurant workers and many others. I agree with you about keeping higher percentage of skilled immigrants. When we import poverty the only Americans who benefit are the above employers. All citizens taxes are increased to provide social services for the illegals, while a small portion of Americans receive financial gain.

My senators will be receiving another e-mail expressing my displeasure with those outrageous immigration numbers in the current bill. I know at least one will pay attention--he's up for re-election in Nov. The other will not run for at least 4yrs, so he's currently beyond reach of his constituents. Starting this yr, I'm imposing my own term limits on incumbents...5 terms for the House(10yrs) & 2 terms for Senators(12yrs). After that their primary concern becomes re-election, not their constituents best interests.
