Gosh I thought class was more about social standing (are you upper, middle or lower class, are you white collar or blue, are your old money or new, etc), and manners, and speech. I never thought class had to do with politics, although I do think it has to do with religion. In this country old money is Protestant, Jewish or Catholic- I don't think there is charismatic Evangelical old money- so that's probably a class thing. I could be wrong- but I can't picture old money families speaking in tongues :-) and I won't even mention snake handling...
