i thought i was talking about a city of 100,000 people. all who grew up democrat, not family beliefs. it is a social understanding it is a base from way back when immigrants came to america. How do you think you get a job in civil service in ma without knowing a democrat in office who can help you out? You think a republican could get the same job. g

It is a system of a life time. brought up generation after generation. You work the wards, you help support your local representatives if you have plans to join social service or civil service positions. you want to work for port authority, state police, state government, city government, social worker, auditor, electrician etc etc etc.

hope that helps . not family. fact of life and i expect in republican control cities , states same thing happens. favor for favor.
