Well I didn't mean to insult you. It was just a statistic I came across immediately after reading your post.

But it seems you should compare the 2,443 deaths to something to determine if its high, low, or whatever. I'm no military historian, but I think 800 deaths per year in a military conflict is low based on historical standards (correct?). That ties into my view that what is going on in Iraq at the moment isn't really accurately described as a "war". Instead at the moment the coalition is essentially policing a foreign country. I on't think it should be called a war, but that's neither here nor there.
