I can't figure out what your complaint is on this topic or what you think my opposition is, sorry. You seem to be tieing it in with the idea of 'self evidence'.

Regarding the Revolutionary period of time and the contradictions and conflicts of that period .... hmmm, my comment has to be taken from 'A Tale of Two Cities', "It was the best of times and the worst of times,"... much like our current circumstance.
