Texas - mostly flat, empty, full of forgotten farm towns or plastic suburban sprawl, cities have no character outside downtown Austin, and almost no one I ever met outside Texas thinks as highly of the place as Texans.

Nothing there to interest me at all. Virtually anything you can think of that makes a locale fascinating to live - geography, culture, a vibe, pristine beauty, whatever, is lacking there. Unless you ae a Texan and like flat, empty, open spaces. Or you want to join in the urban traffic jams now.

Why do I have this sneaking suspicion that you would think more of public opinion measurements if the results agreed with your views?
