This is an excellent article and captures a lot of the essence. I am often not impressed by his articles especially about the Middle East and Europe but here he hit it right on.

The only additional comment I'd make is that he doesn't address depletion and therefore the potential threat of peak oil. As I have mentioned ad nauseam on this threat, the fate of Ghawar will most likely determine what happens to the oil market. I'd be surprised if we don't find out within the next two years.
