No, the Great Depression was caused by Wall Street greed. Nothing to do with the working clas. And in those days the big trusts and robber baron types still ran almost everything. Sadly, the victims were the average stiffs. Millions of them nearly starved to death. FDR's socialist New Deal saved their lives.
