Quit trying to cover up for McCarthy. He was not only wrong and dishonest, he was an evil sadistic bastard intent on installing neo-fascism in this country and pouring gasoline on the fires of the Cold War.

McCarthy's America would have been every bit as oppressive
as Soviet Russia. You rightwingers really have a nerve trying to ressurrect his totalitarian ideals. It shows us a lot about what Bush-Cheney are really up to.

Not a single one of the artists or workers who went to communist meetings or read Trotsky books were in support of totalitarianism, dictatorships, military-police rule, gulags or anything else that secretly went on in Soviet Russia. Just the opposite. They were idealistic pacifists concerned about freedom, civil liberties, human rights, worker's rights, freedom of speech and peace on earth. So they were not allied with Soviet communism one bit.

But I know, the rightwing hates free speech, civil liberties, equality and peace on earth.
