Isn't that curious that the virus seems to have run its course? I predicted that this was likely when the "epidemic" was first being discussed. I wrote that it was a bad idea to go around killing a lot of birds when a few were found with the virus. The wild birds will eventually be exposed, and the sucesspible ones will die off while those which survive will refill the population. Yes, but by killing off the domestic birds, it reduced the risk of the virus mutating into something that could spread by human to human contact.
