For a completely different opinion, I find it more instructive to stick to techniques rather than personalities, although it is the person who has the technique. I have never read a lot of newsletter writers, and believe that many are shotgunning and hope to get as lucky as we all do. It is hard to predict mother nature, and harder to figure if someone else has that figured, is wrong or is lying .. perhaps to themself. So all in all, we can all make more mistakes in themarket than not. What we have to do is get in early on high risk and make up the losses with high gains. Like 10 to 20 times leverage. IF I could invest with David Lowell in a 15 cent issue with Peter Brown and Mcleod Seltzer driving it and Friedland on the board, I know I would lose perhaps only 50% of the time, and not much if I know how to play the market. If I could do IPO's and PP's all, at low prices in a bull market with such players, I would not be badly off. but playing second tier where most of us are stuck is the hard part. Hard for newsletter writers, and hard for investors.

Pogbull and Clone both have points. They are welcome to them. Neither are seriously wrong. They can easily agree to disagree without fear of loss. For an astounding admission, I have never read a CC letter. I hope that I don't need to but the reasons are rather obscure and probably not relevant to most investors here.

The market is not about finding mines all the time. It is about appreciation in vehicles that people think will find mines, for a while.
