What newsletters writers do I have found is manifold, and useful to investors in several ways. There are subtle effects that seem to be side issues such as "entertainment" which actually serves to lift the boredom and create interest levels which feed activity, and of course creates more stock involvement.. I have found that reading about activity, skiiing or sailing, etc.. goes along with and feeds participation to a great degree. Writers summarize, give background and help you organize your mind around available opportunity. They help you make decisions. What you need to do is read a lot of material on a broad range of stocks. People who surf for "recommendations" have to accumulate a lot of positives and negatives. Recos should be systematized and put on a spreadsheet, and then factored over time as to success. You will find commonality in positive factors with your rating, and be able to assign the most important factors to various moves and patterns.

To recap, the writer/analyst serves the purposes:

1. focus on groups of stocks
2. digging out opportunity.
3. summary and background of salient issues
4. adding positivity to buying and selling decisions.
5. explaining matters of concern and geological information
6. researching management and track record.
7. researching history of property, area and geology of area.
8. comparing opportunity quality large-scale in market
