It is hard to get into development deals. What most people don't realize about the movie business is that over time it is a very good investment. Even the worst movies make residuals over and over again into time infinitum. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes sells more DVD's now that it ever did seats in theatres. TV is a case in point. There are more markets than ever that buy products and they can be rotated into over a 10 year period over and over. So even a so-so production can pay back and keep paying back.

Hits are hard to find.

Mining hits follow the money usually. There is lots of grass roots opportunity and it finds itself when the money is there to drill (and develop). We know that as much as anyone. We have had up to fifteen properties and deals hanging fire and have to wait until the climate is right to herd the people into them. What you have to avoid if you know what you are doing is letting people tell you what is good for you and the company. I did not spend 30 years in the mining business to be told that it is a bad idea to mine gold when the price is at record highs.

Strangely everybody wants to drill holes at high risk bets as they know they can con others into buying their stock on results-to-come. Nobody wants to mine gold. But if you look at the rich, rich, rich companies.. what are they? Gold and metal miners. Not pure exploration and sell the property. Even small mines when well managed can make a lot of money. Dome, Campbell Red Lake, Gold Corp, Leitch, Kerr Addison in its latter days, etc etc..

I figure that is where the money is.
