Ben,

All I, and a few others, have pointed out, is that there is now a bandwagon of people jumping on the stock purely as a momentum play, with no regard to the fundamentals. You may not like it that they are doing so, but its a fact, and one we should acknowledge when attempting to predict (or guess) what will happen to the stock price.

If on the other hand you believe the reason Sapiens rose from 8 to 10 in a couple of days was because all the buyers recognised it was an excellent value stock, then presumably the opposite also applies and they discovered it was a pile of garbage about a week later?
But today they think its wonderful again?
I think not, such short term swings are more to do with people who have enough money to see a very short term trend and make big money out of 50c or a $1 rise or fall. Not me unfortunately! :-(
In the long term value-will-out, in the short term its all to do with momentum and patterns, rumours and (sometimes) news.

FWIW, I'm long on Sapiens, have bought and held through dips (and rises) because I think it has some way to go yet, but that doesnt make me blind to the effect that technical investors will have on the price in the shorter term.
