McCarthy was a persecutor of innocent Americans. Better Americans than McCarthy himself who was a traitor and disgrace to his country. There is good reason why the senate booted him out and he died in disgrace. He tried to steer this country toeard a fascist dictatorship. Just like some Bushies are trying to do now. Which is why dishonest extremists like Anne Coulter are now trying to whitewash McCarthy, because the comparisons are real to the current admninistration. And that should alarm every American with a brain. Fortunately, however, Bush-Cheney will soon follow McCarthy into infamy and be booted into the trashpile of US history.
