Paula Jones was paid to lie by Mellon-Scaife and the rightwing corporate funders of the smear campaign. Anne Coulter wrote up Paula Jones's complaint, which totally taints her testimony right there. Jones turned up on Tv with a new nose-job somebody paid for. Her legal fees were in the hundreds of thousands. She was clearly put up to it and was not damaged in any way. She and the others should have been thrown out of court immediately. It was all a big hoax by the rightwing smear jockeys and a total abuse of our justice system. So was Whitewater for that matter. The Clintons did nothing wrong.
Bottomline, Clinton did nothing illegal and there was no excuse whatsoever to ask the president of the United States questions like that. Absolutely none. Once asked, Clinton had no choice but to answer and damage his presidency, a lose-lose situation for him and the country.
But okay, if you want it that way, no double standards. Once Bush gets put under oath (finally) we should all support him being asked about his Houston stripper girlfriend, his cocaine arrest, DUI's he didn't admit and then onto his white collar crime, the insider trading at Harken, payoffs from Enron and going AWOl from the Guard and lying about it.
Yeah, let's really try to embarrass and humiliate him, then start asking the really important questions about how he's cheated and lied to harm our economy, military, democracy, alliances and democracy so dearly. The rightwing set a new low standard in the 90's and pretty soon it will be payback time. |
