The problem is the rightwing keeps lying. Fowler just lied about high taxes causing the Great Depression, for instance. But the tax bill he cited came three years after the Great Depression began. Under a Republican president too.

This is just typical. The defending of McCarthy as "never attacking anyone who wasn't a commie" when he was attacking 90% of the artists in the country. The defending of the phony rape and harrassment charges against Clinton. The defending of the smears of John Kerry's almost perfect war record. The claims Reagan ended the Soviet Union. Or that Saddam had WMD and was in with Al Qaida.

The lies go on and on and on no matter how disproven they are. The rightwing simply will not stop repeating the smears and lies when when they KNOW they're fabrications. Or should know. So We The People, if we want an honest goverbment, have to call them on these lies. Never again will we tolerate this BS to pollute our democracy. Proving rightwingers lies wrong is a very patriotic thing to do.
