You're busted, pal. The Great Depression started in 1929.

How is that supposed to somehow "bust" me? The depression continued for a decade, and it got worse after 1929. Its worst point was probably 1933 but when the economy started to recover from that point some of FDR's programs knocked it back down a bit. A large tariff increase in 1930, a large income tax increase in 1932, and further tax increase in later years, all kept the depression going.
