Hence the sudden Bush interest in the Mexican border and the dispatching of the troops...anything to stay in power. Oh, can't you guys shown even a ounce of objectivity here?? This issue has been brewing for weeks, if not months now.. Hell, it's about all my father had to say to me a month ago when I went out to visit him.. And I consider him to be a pretty good "pulse" on the heart-beat of the masses... So Bush FINALLY had to choose a side, or be damned no matter what. I don't think he's particularly keen on having US troops "officially" on the border (there have always been some guardsmen doing counter-drug assistance there). It's politically embarrassing, and creates unwanted friction with Mexico, as well as heightening potential repercussions with the hispanic community. Hawk
