Because that QC won't be competitive in a server system with more than 1 socket-- the bandwidth is not sufficient. Intel needs CSI to make decent 4S+ systems, or a new chipset a la IBM's hurricane, or something.

Also, Dell wants to show its stockholders that it is doing something. 4S may be small, but it is something, and the PR is good, better than saying, "Wait for NGMA" to them, even if NGMA will be great.
