I think 1207 parts make sense, but if it was purely a delivery issue for AMD, they would have capacity for desktop now, so that part doesn't make sense to me.

Yeah, but the greatest advantage AMD had on the desktop has been last 12 months and the next 4 months. Most of that time period, Dell was likely shut out because AMD promissed the volumes to partners already committed.

AMD may have capacity Dell needs now, but that;s too late for Dell. Dell has already blown a few recent quarters, and Intel will finally have competitive parts in the near future.
