To Taxi Re AMZN Link to cash:

biz.yahoo.com

It works out to about $2 in net net working capital per share. I surf to AMZN to read their summaries, but AMZN will charge separate shipping per delivery if they can't ship your order all at once. Barnes Noble only charges once for shipping, and will eat the added expense if a book on your order list is out of stock and they have to ship it later. Since most of the titles that I order have to be special ordered through the publisher, B&N is a better deal for me.

Books are a commodity, and the $6.95 list price for a paperback is a rip-off. Ordering on-line is a great time-saver, but there are few barriers to entry, so IMHO any future excess profits will be competed away.

But remember when Presstek went to $200? If you can even find shares of AMZN to short (I can't, and I'm glad i didn't given recent crazy price action in AMZN), I would not recommend blowing your entire wad all at once.
