I just thought the $1000/foot number should be more than sufficient to design an adequate barrier and considering we are spending hundreds of billions of dollars in Iraq, 10 billion dollars to secure our southern border sounds like a bargain. The US has millions of miles of roadway and there is no reason we couldn't build a 2000 mile wall.
