It has been a painful period for anyone long in the stock. Easy to say "I should have sold at $95.

There aren't a lot of Titanium suppliers. Prices, margins, and volumes on titanium are all going up. TIE is expanding its production capabilities to take advantage of this.

Aerospace Industry is way behind in replacing aging fleet. Applications and uses for the metal are constantly being expanded.

Additionally, one of the main competitors of TIE is a Russian company that is under continuous threat of being "nationalized". These are the pluses.

The momentum for the market and TIE are being severely tested and the shorts are finally getting some traction on TIE. May is traditionally the worst time to buy stocks. The P/E on TIE based on previous earnings is comparatively high. These are the minuses.

If I wasn't in the stock, I might stay out of the way until it looked like it had leveled off. The longs are pretty scared. The statement about not catching a failing knife seems applicable.

However, I think the short interest on this is very high so it could reverse quickly if their side starts to panic. I'm still long, and hope that this stabilizes shortly, but its huge run up makes it a prime target for those looking to make money when the market sentiment changes.

Don't think this was particularly useful, but they are my random thoughts.
