Board of Directors Robert Gardner, Q.C., Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee Vancouver, British Columbia Chairman of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and Barrister and Solicitor for the past twenty years, Mr. Gardner has served on several Boards, in particular those of mining companies. Mr. Gardner has specialized in Acquisitions and Governance and was instrumental in the discovery, negotiation, and conclusion of the purchase of Genco’s La Guitarra Mine.
James M. McDonald, President and Director Calgary, Alberta Mr. McDonald received his B.Sc. in Geology at the University of Alberta in 1983 and has twenty years experience in the industry, founding and building exploration and mining companies. Mr. McDonald is co-founder of companies such as Alamos Gold Inc. (amalgamation of National Gold and Alamos Minerals) where he continues as a Director, Kootenay Gold Inc., White Knight Resources Ltd. and Black Bull Resources. Current Directorships include Kootenay Gold Inc. (CEO), Alamos Gold Inc. (Independent), Golden Chalice Resources (Independent) and Amador Gold Corp (Independent).
W. Gordon Blankstein, Director Langley, British Columbia Mr. Blankstein holds a B.Sc. and an MBA from the University of British Columbia. Mr. Blankstein is best known as an entrepreneurial international financier, having raised billions of dollars. Mr. Blankstein is also known as the founder of many small companies and overseeing operations until selling out to international conglomerates. Of these enterprises, the most notable include ICG, GST Telcom, NACT Telcom, New World Network and Bestel. Mr. Blankstein is also the founder of the Mountain View Conservation Society.
Richard W. Hughes, Director Sunshine Coast, British Columbia Mr. Hughes is the President of Hastings Management Corp., a private management company providing administrative and professional services to public companies engaged in mineral exploration. He is also the President of four companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange: Klondike Gold Corp., Golden Chalice Resources Inc., Abitibi Mining Corp. and Sedex Mining Corp. Mr. Hughes is also a Director on the Boards of sixteen TSX listed companies.
Leslie Goodman, Director London, England Mr. Goodman, an MA in Law from Cambridge University, England, qualified and practiced as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court in London. Mr. Goodman has worked for ACE Limited, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer for both ACE Global Markets and ACE Strategic Advisors Inc.; Jardine Lloyds Advisors Limited, as Chief Executive Officer and as an Executive Committee Member to JIB Group P.L.C.; Barclays de Zoete World Limited, where he was a Director and Head of International M & A; and Hill Samuel, as Director of Corporate Finance. He currently is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viatel Holdings, a European-based telecommunication carrier, a Director of Rambler Metals and Mining P.L.C, an AIM-listed mining group, and a Director of European Equity Tranche Income Ltd / plc, which is about to enter the AIM market.
Brian R. D. Smith, Q.C., Director Victoria, British Columbia Mr. Brian R.D. Smith, Q.C., is the past Minister of Energy and Mines, past Education Minister and past Attorney General in the Province of British Columbia and is also past Chairman of BC Hydro and past Chairman of Canadian National Railways. Mr. Smith is a Barrister & Solicitor, Public Policy Advisor with Gowlings, Lafleur, Henderson LLP (Law Firm) in Toronto, Ontario.

Mr. Luna is the Executive Vice-President of Goldcorp Inc. and President of Luismin, Goldcorp’s mining operations in Mexico. Mr. Luna holds a Degree in Advanced Management from Harvard University, an MBA from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey and a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Universidad de Guanajuato. Mr. Luna has held various executive positions with Minera Autlan for seven years and Industrias Peñoles for five years. Mr. Luna is former President of the Mexican Mining Chamber and of the Silver Institute. Mr. Luna serves as Chairman of Advisory Board of the Faculty of Mines at the University of Guanajuato, as well as member of the Board of International Counsel on Metals and the Environment and Board Member of CRM.
Joseph F. Church, Director Sudbury, Ontario Mr. Church holds a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. in Geology from the University of New Brunswick. During a thirty-seven year career with Inco Exploration, he retired from the position of Director, Field Exploration, Canada, and as the Vice-President of the Canadian Nickel Company, Ltd. and the Inco Canadian Exploration Company. During his career, he was directly involved in the exploration and development of the Thompson Nickel Belt in Manitoba, which includes the producing Thompson and Birchtree Mines, the former producing Pipe 2 Mine and other surface and underground projects, including the Moak Mine, Soab North Mine, Soab South Mine, Pipe 1 Mine and the Mel Deposit. Elsewhere, he was directly involved in the discovery of the Golden Pond Gold Deposit (Casa-Berardi Mine) in Quebec, the Musslewhite Gold Deposit (Musslewhite Mine) in Ontario and the Uitkomst Copper-Nickel-PGM Deposit in South Africa (currently a producer).
