Re: I wonder if it is possible that Dell was waiting to see first silicon from DC K8L prior to committing. Maybe QC K8L too. If AMD intends to launch DC in Q2 07, they have to have first silicon about now. If so, this could lead to a larger longer term Dell commitment. According to one of Charlie's articles at the Inquirer AMD started showing quad-core Opteron behind "very closed doors" last October. I wonder if that was a 90-nm version of K8L and I also wonder who AMD showed it to first. theinquirer.net
