36 proved to be a critical point back in May. After passing 36 (pre), VVUS jumped to 42 in a single day. I think it was covering by all the people who shorted at the 35 point, held out when VVUS dropped to 30, and bailed out as the downtrend clearly reversed. This time, though there is a different group of shorts...probably ones with very deep pockets who shorted VVUS in the 60-80 (pre) range back in February and March. I think if we pass 40 the squeeze will start rolling. I also think the upcoming earnings report is giving the big shorters chronic insomnia. TA...if a patient complains to you about restlessness over then next few weeks, first ask if he's short VVUS...if he is, inform him that covering and then maybe picking up a few long shares should provide better relief than any medication. I've also heard staying short VVUS, especially so close to earnings, may contribute greatly to ED.
