have you given any thought to what may happen to Intel if FB-dimm is not available in volume for the woodcrest launch? Intel has hitched their wagon to the FB-dimm star and if the memory makers slip up here Intel could be well and truly screwed. Perhaps there is a reason we have not seen the bensley platform yet? if FB-dimm is only 15% higher in price as indicated by another poster today, then AMD may not have to cut chip prices much for the systems to remain competitive. On the other hand, if FB-dimm is twice the price of DDR2 (which would require a massive decline over current prices), I don't think we will see a lot of woodcrest systems.
