M, I should have spelled out my intention re mkt conditions: a. networkers at this moment of the week (fickle as investors are) aren't hot. b. the market overall has reached its peak for the day and things are declining in the short term. c. of course these two and numerous other factors (use about 25 or so) weigh in to determine the movement of the networkers and other stocks. Literally thousands of decision points manifest themselves from those factors. d. I beg to differ with you re CSCO being a market leader. If CSCO (as a major market leader) is dropping, and you take that in conjunction with the other indicators that make the tea leaves move, then you should be able to determine the markets short run movement. e. I'm not sure that any sector can be a 'faithful' gauge. I'm sure that you've read Reminiscences of a Stock Mkt Operator. That was the context that I was speaking in. Regards, it
