What everyone seems to be missing is that Dell will ignite sales of 4-way Opteron boxes. There are many sites that have Dell as their main OEM that have been crying out for Opteron. They will be forced to go 4-way if they want K8s from Dell and knowing Dell they will find a way to sell it cheaper than anybody else while still cleaning up. IBM will be forced to follow as well now with a 4-way. It's all good stuff for the highest margin K8 sales and of course Dell who now will sell relatively expensive FXs (via Alienware) and 8xx Opterons. He will obviously pick up any nice quad K8L fruit that's going later too. This is the last piece in AMD's competitive puzzle being put in place and we can see the full picture now and it's quite a pretty one, all Tier-1s will sell Opterons which kind of makes it the rip roaring success that the chosen and anointed one, Intel's Itanium, was supposed to be ! ;-).
