JCP, Inventory is rising rapidly in S. Cal., and foreclosures are skyrocketing.

And yet, most of the homes for sale haven't gone down in price yet. But they are staying out in the market longer.

There's a good 6 months to a year lag time before sellers get that the market is gone south. My sister is an agent and she is struggling with clients trying to get them to understand that prices have come down. Two out of three times they go with another agent who tells them what they want to here first......just to get the listing......after a month on the market with nary a bite, then they tell them they are overpriced. So, to survive, my sister has started doing the same.

You don't ever want to be in the situation where you can't sell your house. Its the most frustrating experience.
