If Dell is serious (I give it a 50% probability; cynical Pravin), it's almost as if they are waiting for 65nm. If so -- why? AMD is the only game in town with 4P today. Gotta assume that 65nm will be pretty good.

Anyway, I don't really care what Dell does. Their announcement will trigger a domino affect across industry holdouts. That will give AMD an Opteron boost to counter the pressure that NGA is going to put on X2 ASPs. I would prefer if AMD didn't sell Dell a single chip.

Maybe I'll just throw in with HP. They know the roadmaps and can worry about the details, so I don't have to.

Pravin.
