I'd venture the guess that the most prominent effect on AMD's revenue will not be from Dell but from the other customers improving their Opteron lineup to counter the perceived threat from Dell's Opteron based products.

They may also push harder into other segments where Dell doesn't yet plan to employ AMD to sustain their taking of market share from Mikey.

The further out and the more symbolic Dell's commitment is, the more it may actually benefit AMD because the established customers like HP, IBM or SUN will make more money using the products Dell only does kabuki around.
