I have recently seen graphics being displayed on posts

An example message with a link that opens automatically is:

Message 22471192

Now most are innocent, but does this not open the possibility of someone using a website and server to attach a virus that gets downloaded automatically? I am sure most users have up to date virus and worm software but some may not frequent many sites, have never seen the need to keep up to date virus software (not smart but I constantly have to monitor my Fathers machine, he is 86 and very trusting) and become sloppy because they haven't yet had a problem.

I would suggest that this is a feature that should have to be turned on by Silicon members after acknowledging that there could be some risk associated with these links. I notice in the faq consideration is being made for a modification to allow members to turn this off at some future time. IMO it should be the opposite and members should opt in not out.
