How has OS 9 been running with Parallels? Any problems?

Checked into it this AM. After Parallels would not recognize an OS 9 install disk, I looked on-line to find out why. Seems running OS 9 on MacIntels is a bit more complicated than I thought...

Parallels seems to virtualize about anything; any guesses on whether it would handle OS 9.2? Yeah, I know it's a moldy OS, but our company runs a program that requires OS 9, and we're out of luck with the new Intel Macs.

no, OS9 is only compiled for PPC/68K? So it will need EMULATION not VIRTULIZATION. Two different things entierly.

Why is this poor guy getting modded down? I have customers who are tied in to OS 9 apps as well. This is a perfectly legitimate question!

I've SheepShaver installed and it runs up to Mac OS 8.6. Boots within 6 Seconds with standard INITs, provides a full screen mode. Kind of weird to run Win XP in order to emulate the former Mac OS. There is a SheepShaver version also available for OS X but it lacks a configuration front end which is a pain in the a... Developer claims that the OSX SheepShaver will run up to Mac OS 9.1 - which I haven't tried yet. Anyway - there ARE ways to have the old System up and running.
