I'm glad someone started this thread!

Ed the biggest thing I'm looking for in ethanol creditability. If any major oil company or refiner makes an acquisition into ethanol.

IMO-right now major oils are focusing on crude production and exploration. That's where the money is. Refining and marketing is part of that chain. Albeit much less profitable, but a needed part of the sacrifice of making major money in crude.

ADM has a former major oil lady in charge now. Valero has no major oil operations. If a big crude buyer such as Valero takes a plunge in to ethanol. I think things could heat up. I think if such a move happens. They would up ethanol usage in a great way. They would be happy to put EB85 pumps in. Just a thought now, but a future possibility as the ethanol infrastructure gets built, IMO.
